Glen Alwin 52G and her quadruplets
We purchased our first registered Dorsets in 1978 for our four
children who had joined the 4-H Sheep club. Our first ewe
lambs came from the flocks of Lambrick and Samson on
Vancouver Island. To these we added nine ewes from the
Rolling Green Flock, north of Edmonton, six ewes from the
Comfort flock, St. Anne's, Ontario, and six from the Dixon flock
in Port Alberni, B.C.
Over the years we have used rams from the following flocks:
Comfort, Belmont and Edymore. In 1998 we purchased two
ram lambs while we were in the Maritimes, Herngate 1H sired
by Cornella K299, from Glamorgan, Wales, and Amazin' Graze
1H who is a grandson of Cornella K299. These rams have put
a lot more muscle into our sheep.
Each year we sell several ewe lambs to 4-H
members on Vancouver and Saltspring
Yes, then we get beaten in the show ring
Lambing is an exciting time and
all the family helps out.
Breeding stock and chemical and hormone free butcher lambs are
available all year round.
